A beautiful five ribs symmetry in the Bolivian torch cactus, Trichocereus bridgesii a.k.a. Echinopsis lageniformis.

Cacti with thorns (in this case Trichocereus peruvianus) are a great playground for spiders. Don't expect them to leave, bored and willingly, when they find one.

An alluring lump of sugary nectar in a just opened flower from Lophophora williamsii.

light stress

This small, ten months old Lophophora williamsii was recovering his normal green color after an excess of light turned him purple.
